SHIPPING & RETURNS

What are the shipping costs?

Free US Shipping when you spend over $75.  We offer USPS ground shipping for domestic orders. We also offer free returns, so try us out risk-free! All international orders are from $15-$30 shipping, depending on where you are located!

 

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 1-3 days of your order.  We do our best to get your package out to you as soon as possible. We are a small company, and in the future we hope to be able to offer same day shipping as we grow and improve. Thanks for sticking with us!

 

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

All domestic orders using our Ground Shipping option will ship from Los Angeles via USPS ground in the USA and take 3-7 days to arrive in the US. International orders take 2-3 weeks, depending on customs processing. We realize the speed at which your package arrives is directionally proportional to your happiness, so we do our best to get it to you quickly.

 

What is your return/exchange policy?

We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects and will accept any defective item for refund or exchange. We offer 30-days returns or exchanges, no questions asked. Dicks Cottons will issue a refund within 5 days of the receipt of the return/exchange in the form and amount tendered for the original transaction. All returns or exchanges must be unwashed, unworn, unused and in their original condition with receipt and tags attached. Please note: we do not accept returns on products that were not purchased via this website. To submit a return, please email us a heads up at happy@dickscottons.com and we'll send you back a return shipping label, on the house!  Then, pack and seal your box securely (in the original package if possible) and ship it back to us with the label we gave you. As soon as we get it back, we'll issue you the refund!

 

ACCOUNT INFORMATION

The website does not recognize my account log-in information, what should I do?

In March 2015, we improved to a new website and server! When we switched to the new site, old accounts did not carry over, so we apologize that you will have to create a new account on our new system.

 

Why is there a registration/login link?

Registering your information will help us ensure you receive timely updates on discounts, promotions, events, and new products as soon as they’re available. Your personal information will not be shared with any third parties and you can rest assured your credit card payments are processed securely as well.

 

I am having troubles placing an order, can you help?

Please make sure your browser accepts “cookies”. While most web browsers will work we recommend Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.

PAYMENTS

What are my payment options?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal. Thru Paypal, there is also a financing option where there are no payments for 6 months.

 

I wasn't able to place an order, but I see a pending transaction on my credit card account. Why is that?

This happens when the billing zip code you entered on your order doesn't match the billing zip code on the credit card you're using. If you change up that billing address on the order, it should make the transaction go through. On the order that didn't go through, for some reason many banks will hold your funds for a couple of days when you get this specific zip code error. Those transactions don't ever validate and will drop off of your bank account within a few days, sometimes sooner if you call them to let them know.

SUNGLASSES

Are your handmade sunglasses really handmade? How are you able to charge so much less than competing brands?

Yes, each pair of our handmade frames is handmade, one at a time. Each pair is individually crafter, cut and molded and the attention to detail is extensive. We want to ensure that we are creating a superior product at a better price. We are able to charge less because we cut out the middle man, and all extraneous costs. We don't advertise or have a sales team, we really on our customers to spread the word for us. We want you to own 2 or 3 pairs for the same cost as 1 pair for competing brands. And for you to have more money in your pocket to travel and party!

 

What is the warranty for your sunglasses?

We offer a 6-month warranty for all our handmade sunglasses. If there is a manufacturers defect that occurs within the first 6 months, we will replace it for you at no cost. Normal wear and tear or scratches on the lenses are not part of the warranty.

 

How should I care for my sunglasses?

You can tighten the hinges for a tighter fit by using the small sunglasses screwdriver found in any sunglasses repair kit. The inside of the Dicks Cottons microfiber case can be used as a cleaning cloth to normal cleaning. For thorough cleaning, wash lenses with mild soap and warm water to remove dirt and oil and avoid buildup. Dry lenses with a lens cloth or non-abrasive cotton. Avoid using paper towels, facial tissue or camera lens cleaning paper. Hold the glasses firmly by the frame with one hand, while gently buffing the lens in a circular motion with the other.

 

I am looking for a pair of sunglasses you made, but I can't find it on your site. Can you help?

We treat each pair of shades like a piece of art, so all of our offerings are limited edition. Usually we make 100 of every pair, and then once its gone its sold out forever. We do bring back similar styles and pairs that are similar, so if you shoot us a message via our contact us page we can help you find something close to what you are looking for. If you find something you really love, it might make sense to get a backup pair so you always have a spare! We never want you to show up at a party with the same pair of shades as someone else, so thats why we limit each style. We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

GIFT CARDS

Do you offer Gift Certificates?

Yes, we do! Our electronic Gift Certificates are sent via e-mail to any individual with a valid e-mail address. The recipient of an electronic Gift Card will receive an e-mail with a Gift Card code redeemable online only.
